Teen & Family Safety

NeuroCircle is designed to give teens, parents, and guardians practical tools for building a safer and more positive online experience.

Our approach combines age-appropriate protections, privacy and safety controls, reporting tools, and optional guardian supervision.

Family Center

NeuroCircle's Family Center allows eligible teens to connect with a parent or guardian and use supported supervision tools available in the app.

These controls are designed to help families manage safety and privacy while recognizing that teens also need appropriate independence and privacy as they learn to navigate online spaces.

Parents and guardians should use Family Center as a tool for guidance, not as a substitute for ongoing conversations about online safety.

Guardian controls

Connected parents or guardians can use the controls available in NeuroCircle to help manage supported aspects of a teen's experience.

Depending on the features available on the account, these controls may include privacy, communication, content, safety, account, or wellbeing settings.

NeuroCircle clearly identifies which settings a guardian can view or manage inside the app.

We will continue to expand these tools as the platform develops.

Age-appropriate protections

NeuroCircle is intended for people who are at least 13 years old, subject to any higher minimum age required where they live.

Teen accounts may receive additional privacy, communication, content, discovery, or safety protections based on age.

Providing an accurate date of birth helps us apply the appropriate protections.

If you believe an account belongs to someone who does not meet NeuroCircle's minimum age requirement, please report it through the app or contact safety@neurocircle.app.

Privacy and supervision

Family safety should not require unnecessary access to a young person's private information.

NeuroCircle aims to give parents and guardians meaningful tools while limiting supervision to the information and controls reasonably necessary for those features.

The exact information available to a connected guardian is shown within Family Center.

Information about how NeuroCircle handles personal information is available in our Privacy Policy and Privacy Choices pages.

Unwanted contact and grooming

Teens should never feel pressured to:

  • share private or identifying information;
  • send sexual or intimate images;
  • move a conversation to another service because someone demands it;
  • meet someone they do not know without involving a trusted adult;
  • send money, gift cards, account credentials, or authentication codes; or
  • continue communicating with someone who makes them feel unsafe.

Grooming, sexual exploitation, sextortion, and other forms of exploitation involving minors are prohibited on NeuroCircle.

If something feels wrong, stop communicating with the account, block it, preserve appropriate information needed for a report, and tell a trusted adult.

Reporting safety concerns

Teens, parents, and guardians can report accounts, content, messages, or other activity through NeuroCircle's reporting tools.

For additional safety assistance, contact safety@neurocircle.app.

Child-safety concerns, credible threats, and reports involving imminent harm may receive priority review.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Child sexual exploitation

NeuroCircle has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion, or the sexual exploitation of minors.

Suspected child sexual exploitation may also be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline.

If you encounter suspected child sexual abuse material, do not download, save, forward, or redistribute it in order to report it.

For intimate images or videos taken when the person depicted was under 18, NCMEC's Take It Down service may help prevent participating platforms from distributing copies.

Support and crisis resources

For immediate emergencies in the United States, call 911.

For suicide, mental health, or emotional crisis support in the United States and its territories, call or text 988.

Additional child-safety information and resources are available through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

For parents and guardians

Online safety works best when technology and communication work together.

We encourage parents and guardians to:

  • understand the privacy and safety controls available to their teen;
  • discuss who they communicate with online;
  • talk openly about scams, grooming, sextortion, and unwanted contact;
  • encourage teens to report situations that make them uncomfortable;
  • respect healthy boundaries and age-appropriate independence; and
  • keep communication open so asking for help feels easy.

Family Center is intended to support those conversations.
